Planning the Museum

The Museum's icon is an ultramodern sketch of the main architectural lines of the new building. Sparse use of colour is made.

The Museum's architectural design creates a path for the visitor from darkness to light. This ultramodern sketch captures the main architectural lines of the new building.

A Breathtaking International Icon

The Museum’s signature architecture symbolizes hope for a changed world. Internationally renowned and award-winning architect Antoine Predock, through his unique and timeless design, has created a path for the visitor from darkness to light.

The journey starts in the Museum’s “roots” and, rising up from the ground of The Forks, visitors ascend a series of bridges, encountering human rights stories and the people who lived them along the way. The journey will encompass over 47,000 square feet of exhibit space through nearly a kilometre of bridges leading people to the Tower of Hope, a 23-storey glass structure overlooking the horizon.
