A typewritten note in English to the Veterans Minister from a retired Japanese Canadian soldier. After serving in the Canadian military for five years during WWII, he is questioning the wisdom behind forcing Japanese Canadians to be registered with the RCMP.

Letter from Tam[o]tsu Matsu[o]ka, of Coaldale, Alberta, to the Minister of Veterans Affairs, 9 September 1946. A Canadian Army veteran of WWII who had served in Europe, Matsu[o]ka was forced by the RCMP to register himself, as were all Japanese Canadians during the war.
