Manitoba Homecoming 2010 Concert for Human Rights

Join the kick off to summer concert on July 3rd at Scotia Bank Stage at The Forks, featuring a visit by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. Come down to see artists such as Chantal Kreviazuk, Eagle & Hawk and Chic Gamine (full artist listing below) at this free outdoor show! This concert continues the year-long Homecoming celebration as well as spotlighting human rights and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, currently under construction at The Forks.
Concert goers will have a chance to learn more about human rights initiatives at the “Human Rights Village” featuring displays from various NGOs involved in the protection and promotion of human rights in Canada and around the world. They will also get the opportunity to see the Queen unveil a cornerstone at the site of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Ten thousand concert attendees will receive a human rights star pin as a reminder to take action and promote human rights.
The day begins at 2:00 p.m. with the concert running from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
